Overview

Our Pawsitive Care product is designed to help users implement and track self-care habits in their daily lives. The design includes a task log to organize prioritized habits in a gamified format, incentivizing users to stay engaged and entertained.

Challenge

We found that people tend to neglect their own well-beings which leads to constant burnt out. There is deadlines that need to be reached and other commitments to focus on, so it is easy to put our well-being last, but that effects our work ethics.

Solution

The product is a gamified self-care tracking app that is interactive for users to have fun and spare even a few minutes to practice habits that will energize and motivate them to continue other priorities.

User Research

The design process started with exploratory interviews, wanting to understand the users’ thoughts and frustrations with current workflow, workarounds/solutions and why. We conducted 36 interviews total targets at undergraduates and recent graduates.

We gathered information and noticed the trends that users prioritize other responsibilities such as school work and jobs where they feel like there is not enough time in the day to spend energy on self-care. When it comes to self-care, users think about spending a lot of time and energy which feels like another task to complete in the day and much rather spend their free time to rest.
